Renewable energies
If possible, we should always provide the newly built or the plan of a new winery, with an area that can be run with renewable energy sources. Here are some examples of what can be used:
- Solar panels: They can be placed on the rooftop or near the buildings. If they are provided with heat tanks, energy can be stored in many ways: we could for example, have warm water also in winter time with temperatures ranging from 20 to 25 °C. In this way, a lower quantity of energy is needed to have high temperatures.
- Boilers using renewable fuel: To make up for heat, we could use boilers running with wood or wood pellets. These systems are useful only if the raw material can be purchased in the farm/company itself.
- Small wind plants: In the last few years, especially in the windy areas, small plants have started to become popular. They have small shafts that store electric energy by using the wind power. These kinds of plants are quite expensive but they allow to store electric energy so they repay in time.
