The main topics included in visitor (satisfaction) surveys are:
- Profile and origin of visitors (e.g. age, gender, lifestage, place of residence),
- Holiday behaviour at the destination (e.g. information sources, transport, co-travellers, accommodation, activities),
- Level of satisfaction with the services, experience (e.g. place, wine, staff, gastronomy),
- Loyalty and likelihood to recommend the winery (e.g. would they come back or recommend the winery).
Besides that you can also measure the effectiveness of certain marketing activities (e.g. whether the visitor was influenced by advertisement of the winery). In this case you can measure how many potential travellers you have reached (e.g. with facebook post, advertisement, direct mail/e-mail to customers, Google analytics about website visitation).
